  1. Day 1 ·

    Chogoria GateMeru Bandas

    Enter at Chogoria Gate (2,950 m), drive or walk to Meru Mount Kenya Bandas through montane forest.

  2. Day 2 ·

    Meru BandasLake Michaelson / Mintos Camp

    16 km+1200 m6–8 hrsSleep: 4,200 m

    Ascend through bamboo and moorland to Gorges Valley. Camp above Lake Michaelson at Mintos Camp.

  3. Day 3 ·

    Mintos CampAustrian Hut

    8 km+590 m4–5 hrsSleep: 4,790 m

    Climb past Hall Tarns to Austrian Hut (4,790 m) — the highest hut on the mountain.

  4. Day 4 ·

    Austrian HutPoint Lenana → Shipton's Camp

    10 km+195 m-590 m5–7 hrsSleep: 4,200 m

    Pre-dawn summit push — the shortest summit day on any route. Summit Point Lenana (4,985 m), then traverse north to Shipton's Camp.

  5. Day 5 ·

    Shipton's CampOld Moses Camp

    12 km-900 m4–5 hrsSleep: 3,300 m

    Descend via the Sirimon corridor through moorland to Old Moses Camp. The contrast with Chogoria's lush valley is striking.

  6. Day 6 ·

    Old Moses CampSirimon Gate

    9 km-1050 m3–4 hrs

    Final descent through forest back to Sirimon Gate. Transfer back to Nanyuki.
