Naro Moru Gate→Met Station
8 km+400 m2–3 hrsSleep: 3,050 mDrive or walk from Naro Moru Gate (2,650 m) to the Meteorological Station (3,050 m). Short first day to begin acclimatising.

Met Station→Mackinder's Camp
8 km+1100 m5–7 hrsSleep: 4,200 mSteep climb through bamboo and giant heather, then the notorious 'vertical bog' — waterlogged moorland requiring gaiters and trekking poles. Mackinder's Camp at 4,200 m.

Mackinder's Camp→Point Lenana → Mackinder's Camp
10 km+785 m-785 m7–9 hrsSleep: 4,200 mPre-dawn summit push via the American Camp track. Reach Point Lenana (4,985 m) at sunrise, then descend back to Mackinder's.
- Day 4 ·
Mackinder's Camp→Naro Moru Gate
16 km-1550 m5–7 hrsFull descent back through the vertical bog, bamboo and forest to the gate.
